The mission of BAI is to create opportunities for people to achieve their highest level of life satisfaction. BAI was established in 2004 by Nate and Lisa Boyack and is dedicated to assisting people to live productive, meaningful lives.

Our Organization

BAI is a residential provider that serves individuals with developmental disabilities. Our agency, established in 2004, is located in Las Vegas and is certified by the state of Nevada. We offer a variety of services ranging from 24-hour home supervision to intermittent home support.  The following are some of the services we provide:

ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM:

Nate Boyack - Owner/Executive Director:

Nate Boyack has been working in the Intellectual Disability/Developmental Services field since 1998. He has over 15 years supervisory experience developing and running programs that promote self-reliance and individuality. Nate believes that with the support of an effective team, optimal independence can be achieved. It is his desire for all people receiving services to reach their full potential. Nate has a BA degree from Brigham Young University and a MBA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.


Steven Giles - Program Director:

Steven Giles has worked in the social services field in different capacities for over 15 years. Steven has worked as a direct care staff, manager, and administrator during that time. He has experience with juveniles and adults with developmental disabilities, troubled youth with behavioral and emotional problems, teens with psychiatric disorders, and teens with Aspergers Syndrome. Steven received a BA in political science from the University of Utah and actively seeks to expand his knowledge in the social services field. Steven is committed to encouraging positive life changes to increase the quality of life for the people he serves.


Valerie LaRocca - Associate Program Director:

Valerie LaRocca, is a certified Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) who also holds a BA in psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Although Valerie has worked in Southern Nevada supporting individuals with dual diagnoses for more than ten years, her experience also extends to five additional years in East Tennessee as a manager of a jobs and day training service for disabled adults. Valerie's supportive approach is taken from the many perspectives to which she has been exposed in several different capacities over the years. She believes in problem solving as a team, and emphasizing health, safety, and quality of life as the fundamental priorities to effective support.


Christa Salter - Associate Program Director:

Christa has worked for BAI since 2007. She has over 20 years experience in working with people with intellectual/physical disabilities. Christa has always appreciated the great sense of fulfillment she receives from her work. She strives to assist the people she works with in achieving their highest level of ndependence. Christa takes great pleasure from seeing her hard work help people become confident in the their ability to obtain all they desire.


Jake Farmer - Associate Program Director

Jake has worked for BAI since June 2017. He has a degree in English from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada. Jake has been working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities since 2009, in a wide variety of positions that have provided him with a comprehensive view of their support needs. Jake has extensive experience with employment training, supported living arrangements, and targeted case management/service coordination. Jake has a strong belief in the inherent worth and dignity of each individual, the preservation of their individuality, while also placing a strong emphasis on health and safety.


Heather Sorenson - Associate Program Director – Human Resources

Heather is a Las Vegas native and has worked for BAI since 2011. She has spent the past eight years reaching out and assisting people with intellectual disabilities. She has gained valuable insight and experience by working in many different areas of the organization. These various experiences have played a huge role in helping her develop into a successful administrator. Heather has a passion for assisting people, helping them achieve their goals, and supporting them to become independent.


Lauren Gooch - Associate Program Director

Lauren is a Las Vegas native who began working in the mental health field in 2007 and started with BAI in 2011. Lauren worked for BAI as a direct support staff, house manager, and in 2017 was promoted to Associate Director. By utilizing her passion to help those around her, she offers great insight and support to those with whom she works. Lauren is currently pursuing her BS in Health and Wellness with a minor in psychology at Nevada State College. When Lauren isn't busy making a difference at work, she enjoys spending time with her two beautiful children.


Kra-Yun Price - Associate Program Director

Kra-Yun has been with BAI since November of 2019. She has worked as a Direct Support Staff, House Manager, Medical Coordinator, and Associate Director. Kra-Yun has over 10 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities. She started her work in this field as a teenage volunteer for a local non-profit and through this involvement, Kra-Yun developed a passion for helping others. Kra-Yun’s goal is to continue to do her best to help each individual served reach their highest potential.
